Overview DSIP (Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide first isolated from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits during slow-wave sleep. It is found endogenously in the hypothalamus, limbic system, pituitary, and peripheral tissues, and is widely investigated in neurobiological and neuroendocrine research for its interactions with sleep regulatory pathways, circadian rhythm modulation, and anterior pituitary hormone release.
